Wow starter edition updating setup files Chat with random straight guys
, and you've finally decided to jump in and give the game a try.
Hey, I bought wow in store 3 or 4 years ago and only got around to installing it a few days ago. Usually doesn't take long though :)If you want to play the game properly without issues though, leave the download to complete fully in the Launcher, otherwise you might experience latency and odd effects ingame.
Afterall the downloads, the folder is now at about 30GB. Make sure you have upgraded your account to a full account too, by entering the CD key found in your box into account management at will need to upgrade the account, not only install the game :)The CD key should be behind the 3rd wow disc, or on the manual somewhere.
But even if you don't know anyone, it's easy to get started by heading to the Starter Edition sign-up page -- you'll need to provide some basic information, but you don't need a credit card or any other form of payment.
After you've signed up, you'll have to download the game client, which will take a while, so don't plan on jumping in right away.
Its possible I removed and lost it way back when I got the game. Did you check in front of the manual, bottom right corner?
Should be 1 more place it can be, but i cant recall where that is :/If you cant find it i belive you have a problem, yes But seeing that since its 5 discs its probably one of the early versions, you could upgrade the account with a "Battlechest" online, that would give you the ability to level to 70 (instead of 60 with the key u cant find) and open up pretty much everything.
All systems will need at least 25 GB of available hard drive space, a broadband internet connection (since the game is played online), a keyboard and mouse, and a 1024 x 768 minimum display resolution.
For Macs, the minimum requirements are OS X 10.7 on an Intel Core 2 Duo processor with 2GB RAM and an NVIDA Ge Force 8600M GT or ATI Radeon HD 2600.
Can take up to 72 hours for Trial restrictions to be removed, in the mean time, you can still level up past 20, but cannot use the auction house, trading, or ingame mail system.
